WALES PTO MEETS PLAYGROUND COMMITMENT!!! The Wales Elementary PTO just presented a $30,000 check for their contribution to the ADA playground that was installed a few years ago. Due to the forecast for later today and tonight, we are going to postpone the color run to next Friday, September 25th. It will be the same time and same place. If you are unable to make it next week but already signed up, you are welcome to pick up your color run swag bag anytime this coming week in the front office. We will gratefully consider your registration fee a donation to our school.
Also! We welcome and encourage any new participants who can make it next week Friday to sign up on the website. We will extend the deadline for registrants. Likewise, any volunteers able to help next week will be greatly appreciated. More to come on the volunteer opportunities this week.

Please note that 5K, Grade 6, 9 and all students who are new to KM will have a partial day of school on 8/31 to get acclimated. Schedules are as follows: Elementary 8:35-11:35 am, KMMS and KMHS Campus 7:20 am - 10:30 am.

GIRLS BASKETBALL CLUB TRYOUTS!!! Tryouts for the Kettle Moraine Girls Basketball Club are scheduled for August 23rd through August 26th. This is for all 3rd through 8th graders for the upcoming 2026/27 school year. Registration is tentatively scheduled to be open from July 24th to August 10th (dates may shift slightly). GRADUATES RETURN TO THEIR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS!!! Each year, Kettle Moraine graduates return to their elementary schools to reconnect with former teachers and encourage younger students. The visits give graduates a chance to reflect on how far they have come while elementary students enjoy meeting and learning from older students they admire. These traditions highlight the strong connections across the district and the spirit of One KM.

WALES CAMPUS END OF YEAR ASSEMBLY!!! Today, Wales Elementary celebrated the close of another wonderful school year with a fun-filled assembly honoring special traditions and cherished staff members. Retiring staff members Wanda Richardson, Becky Reith, Jenny Braun, and Carrie Foss were recognized and celebrated for their dedication and service. The assembly also included the “Keys to Success” tradition as kindergartners passed letters of wisdom to their 5th grade buddies, while the 5th graders created special keychains for the kindergartners to remember them by. To top off the excitement, Mrs. Balzer took one for the team and got “pied” in front of the school, proving once again that she is a great sport!

To accommodate more families and staffing demands we will again run two separate sessions lasting six weeks total. Session one will run June 15-July 24 (no classes 7/3). Students can attend the full six weeks or one session only if preferred. Session two classes will be a repeat of content and activities from session one, unless noted in the course description.
